GREAT WINTER GETAWAY

  •
     5 of 5
My three friends and I had a delightful experience renting this luxurious, well-appointed, clean, uncluttered, and very well-maintained house for 3 nights in January. After an inauspicious short winding drive up to the house from the main road past a number of custom-built, suburban-style development homes, it was a treat to enter this house to experience an unobstructed and panoramic view of marsh and ocean from multiple windows in the living room. Two of the four bedrooms also have spectacular views, especially the master bedroom/bath which is accessed from a multi-windowed spiral stair and features its own circular window, private outside deck, and an over-the-top bathroom with jacuzzi set next to more windows. The third twin-bedded room faces the front of the house. The fourth bedroom in the basement is dark and less desirable, but has its own living room. Beddings are distinctive and beautiful. The main living room on the ground floor provides very comfortable seating (2 two-person couches and a rocker with ottoman) grouped around a large flat-screen TV. (There are also small TVs in each bedroom.) The kitchen also has a great view and is very well stocked with every conceivable pot, pan, bowl, spice (including gran masala), and appliance, including a great coffee maker, and the professional stove made it a pleasure to cook and eat at the house. There were plenty of clean white towels and small toiletry items in the bathrooms, as well as bags of snacks at the kitchen counter. The art work is lovely and original. We discovered the board game Apples to Apples, which we had fun playing. The only problem we encountered on our wintry weekend was snow-related: the stairs leading up to house were not shoveled and were quite slippery even after we found a shovel and shoveled them. From the front door it was an easy and lovely walk to the stone breakwater, the marsh, along the residential streets at the East End of Provincetown, and back to this great house to watch a gorgeous sunset.

Owner's Response: We did not know that our new plow service was not shovelling the stairs and walks. They will be taken care of going forward.

AMAZING HOUSE, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, GREAT LOCATION

We had 8 people stay in this beautiful house for a weekend in late October. The house accommodated all 8 of us and still felt huge. The views are amazing. The kitchen and entertaining area is great and modern. The showers are awesome. We loved staying here and will certainly be back.

AMAZING VIEWS, GREAT LOCATION, ENTERTAINING SPACE

Clean, beautifully furnished and equipped house with open concept area on first floor - great for entertaining. The kitchen has everything one could want for preparing meals - very convenient and better than my own kitchen. There is nothing behind the house to block the amazing view to the dunes and the ocean from the deck and multiple windows on the back of the house. I will definitely rent again with family or friends.

BEST HOME IN PTOWN SECLUDED, UP-TO-DATE, ROMANTIC.

  •

I have rented this home for the last five seasons (2009-2013). It's the perfect rental home if you're seeking spaciousness, peace & quiet cul-de-sac, open floor plan, air-conditioning, beautiful furnishings andparking for several cars. We usually rent bikes and then bikeride to town - only a mile. This home overlooks Herring Cove. This means that you get breathtaking views from the back deck overlooking the ocean. The owners continually upgrade the home (last year: new kitchen and lower level suite). The only downside is that one bedroom has (2) twin beds (instead of a queen or two fulls).

Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive review. We put the twin beds in one of the bedrooms to accommodate families with kids.

SPECTACULAR OCEAN-VIEW LOCATION... EVEN IN WINTER!

Imagine waking up, looking over your toes, and beholding a pink-blue horizon over the water. Just another, "You've got to be kidding me... Really?" moment. All the amenities, all the views, and a killer location convenient to the beaches, trails, and Commercial Street, a quaintly narrow roadway that is home to most of Provincetown's terrific shops and restaurants. We had a terrific week wandering, visiting, & eating, and relaxing in a very warm and VERY clean house that looks west and puts you in a trance every time you glance out of one of the myriad windows. Easily one of the very best places I've stayed in all my travels.

ONE OF THE MOST GORGEOUS SPOTS IN PROVINCETOWN!

  •

Take the spiral stairs to the roof and be treated to a 360 degree of Provincetown. Beautiful property, immaculate, in a quiet area. Spacious bedrooms, wonderful kitchen/dining area...sliding doors to patio which overlooks Herring Cove.
Property I as short walk into historic, artsy P-town. Owner very responsive. I would greatly recommend this destination.

Owner's Response: Please note that due to insurance requirements the hatch to the roof deck is normally locked. Leaving it unlocked for this rental was an oversight. Our home has decks on both the first and second levels which have great views and are accessible to quests.
