30th Annual Chowderfest on Long Beach Island

The last rays of the summer sun warm your skin as the familiar scent of chowder wafts through the air. Vendors are waiting for you to taste the best of the best. Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven is completely taken over by fans of all ages. The occasion? Long Beach Island’s 30th Annual Chowderfest.

Over the last 30 years, Chowderfest has become a proud Long Beach Island tradition. It is seen as the last hurrah as the summer season comes to a close. The weekend kicks off with Merchant’s Mart on Saturday, where you can find the best blow-out deals from dozens of locals shops. You never know what treasures you might find! Following the Merchant’s Mart is the main event, the delectable Chowder Cook-Off Classic, where you can enjoy the finest local chowder, which comes in New England, Manhattan, and Creative Seafood varieties. The LBI Shuttle Bus will be available both days, so getting around the island will be a breeze.
