Beach Haven, NJ

A city that is fit for a Queen, which may be why it has long been known as The Queen City.

There are not too many places in the world where people can go and find spectacular sandy beaches, am extraordinary downtown, and cultural activities all within one square mile.  However, Beach Haven has managed to fit it all in with ease.

Fun and excitement awaits everyone at Fantasy Island Park where rides, games, and entertainment fill the days and nights.  There are rides for all ages and when everyone needs a break, they can sit and watch a magician, an illusionist, or one of the many other performers that are entertaining the crowds that day.

Learning about the history of Long Beach Island is so much fun at the Long Island Beach Museum.  Visitors can learn about the shark attack that the movie Jaws was based on before exploring all the recovered shipwrecked artifacts.

Hardly anyone drives in Beach Haven, as riding a bike is the preferred way to travel.  People have become accustomed to using the bike lanes as they ride into town for their evening meal or their after-dinner ice cream treat.

Cooling down during the hot summer months is super easy at the Thundering Surf Water Park.  Families will love zooming down the water slides before quickly finding their favorite one to spend the rest of the day on.  When everyone gets tired of the water, they can try their skills on the two mini-golf courses and see who finds themselves under par.

Libraries are a wealth of information and the one in Beach Haven is no different.  People can wander in to use their computer with the free Wi-Fi, check out movies and books, or sit in on an informational lecture.  However, the best part is the second floor that is filled with old diaries, deeds, photographs, and more.

Bay Village is a quaint little shopping area that matches Beach Haven perfectly.  There are more than twenty different shops, cafes, and galleries to wander in and out of, and they are all designed to look like part of a waterfront village.  Everyone will love finding gifts at stores like BEACHED, Breezin’Up, and the Yuletide Christmas Shop.  And, no one can resist stopping to watch them make fudge at Country Kettle Fudge!

Of course, everyone needs to eat more than fudge when in Beach Haven, and Uncle Will’s Pancake House, Stefano’s Seafood & Pasta, and the Restaurant at Engleside Inn are all fabulous options.

Broadway theater has arrived in Beach Haven’s Surflight Theatre, where they present numerous productions every year.  You can go see exceptional actors as they perform shows straight from the stages of Broadway, and all while in a small town and far away from the crowds of a big city.
