Provincetown, MA

A destination with the highly respectable and well-earned nickname of P-town.

Provincetown may be a destination full of people, but three quarters of it has been carefully preserved in wilderness form as part of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park.  You can explore miles of magnificent beaches as well as walking and biking trails.

Artists have found themselves inspired by the beauty within Provincetown for years, whether the sand dunes, the water, the streets, or the people wandering about.  Come and experience it for yourself and then visit one of the numerous galleries and studios to see paintings and photographs come to life before your eyes.

P-town loves kids and kids love P-town!  There is so much to do here for children of all ages, whether they are riding the trolley, going on sand dune tours, or taking part in the West End Racing Club.

Festivals are the best part of summer in Provincetown and there are too many to count!  The favorites seem to be the ones that celebrate the Fourth of July and the Carnival in August.  However, the Family Week party that is held every July is extraordinary and Commercial Street is jam packed with people and strollers and lots of ice cream!

Everyone can still watch their favorite theater performances while in Provincetown, and they can choose from the Art House Theater, CTEK Arts, and the Provincetown Theater.  Imagine Broadway shows, classic and modern productions, and new script performances all while being out in the middle of paradise.

Shopping in Provincetown is a unique experience, and everyone must go in and check out Womencrafts, where more than one hundred women artisans hand craft many of the products sold.  A couple other must-see stores include Good Scents for the Body, Geoffrey Semonian Signs & Woodcarving, and Atlantic Accents.

The seafood is quite fresh in Provincetown and the ocean views are irresistible at so many restaurants.  However, The Mews Restaurant & Café, Fanizzi’s Restaurant, and The Red Inn Restaurant are all highly recommended by locals and visitors alike.

At night, you can control the action and choose whether you want to watch the sun set over the water with a drink in hand or watch one of the exhilarating drag shows on stage.  All that matters is that you are having fun and enjoying your time at this end of the island.
