This one-of-a-kind, classic Greek Revival post-and-beam captain's home, built in 1840, is nestled in the prestigious West End. This home has just undergone a meticulous, year-long renovation, blending modern convenience with timeless charm. Professionally designed, 36 West finds the perfect balance between comfort and elegance - seaside living at its best!
Bleached oak floors, painted wood ceilings, and abundant moldings lend warmth and character to this home. 36 West offers large open living areas, not typical to Provincetown! The first floor's stunning kitchen and dining area open to a bright, spacious living room with a fireplace and 65" Smart TV. The king bedroom with fireplace, and the adjacent half bath, complete the first floor. Upstairs you will find three more bedrooms. King suite # 1 offers a private custom-tile bathroom with a rainforest shower. This suite offers water views, vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace with remote-operated candles for ambiance. The second floor also hosts a den complete with a refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, 55" Smart TV, and private outside access to a large second-floor deck. King suite #2 is accessed from the den. This suite also offers a private custom-tile bath with a rainforest shower. The den can be closed off from the main house and used as an exclusive grand suite with a private deck. The second level also offers a queen bedroom, sitting area with desk, bathroom with tub/shower combination, and another stacked washer/dryer.
All bedrooms include wall-mounted smart TVs. We also offer high-quality linens, plush cotton towels, and bathrobes. Portable Bose speakers are available in all rooms.

Included are a Thermador gas cook top and wall oven, Bosch microwave/convection oven, GE Profile refrigerator, and beverage cooler. There is a second refrigerator inside the garage. Farm-style table seats up to 12. Adjacent island seats 3. Outdoor dining set on the rear patio seats 8.

Ptown Perfection

We've been staying in Ptown for 25 years, on and off the water, and this special spot is our favorite of all. Gorgeous, newly renovated home; lovely landscaping; charming back deck with outdoor shower as well as spacious side deck with very comfy furniture; cozy front porch, set back from Commercial, for morning coffee; four nicely done bedrooms, one with its own kitchen and living area to give some guests more privacy; easy parking for three cars; fully-equipped and spacious kitchen connected to spacious living area; extra conveniences like a bonus fridge in the garage, lights in closets, and multiple washers and dryers; quirky historic fireplace mantles; kayaks to stroll down Commercial to enjoy the harbor; quick walk to the Red Inn and breakwater in one direction or all that Ptown has to offer in the other! We are excited to come back!

36 Commercial is a gorgeous historical house with modern updates. We were blown away to the attention to detail in this home. From the multiple washer/dryers (both floors) to the most comfortable mattresses (better than Four Seasons) this house has it all. Looking forward to our next stay, we will be back !

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay at 36 commercial. The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated.  Interesting art. Marvelous outdoor decks, comfortable beds and the architectural details were fascinating.  The landscaping was beautiful. Fully fenced yard great for our pup. Every need a Ptown vacation guest might have was anticipated down to the smallest detail including rain slickers, umbrellas, all manner of beach needs and kayaks and of course a fully outfitted kitchen ready for the most demanding entertaining and culinary efforts. The hosts Louis and David and local caretaker Randy were exceptional. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Experience!

We spent a beautiful week here and loved every minute of it. This house is in the beautiful west end, Far enough to be away from all the traffic and commercial Street but close enough to walk to everything. While the home could use some updating, thatâs not unusual for a historic house that is almost 200 years old. The exterior architecture itâs beautiful and the interior was well-suited to our group of six people. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower in the backyard and the sun patio on the second floor. The interior is quirky but charming, and the property manager was very good about checking in to see if we needed anything. Overall, a fantastic experience that we hope to repeat again next year!

A very cool property. Plenty of space for us to spread out, even with four teens and a dog. A manageable walk to town or to the Jetty. The little dog friendly beach, just steps away, was really very nice. The off-street parking spaces are a big convenience in Provincetown.

Beautiful home, quiet neighborhood!

We were a party of 8 that stayed here for a long weekend. The house was great in all respects - beautiful, well kept, in a quiet neighborhood that is an easy walk to town. The upstairs deck was a very nice place to hang out in the late afternoon. I would definitely recommend this house. The parking around the back was also extremely convenient. Our best dinner was at Ciro and Sal's. The Canteen had great sandwiches. Mac's was also very nice.

36 West Commercial Street presented as advertised: spacious, elegant and well appointed. The rooms and mini-suites were of a good size and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the lack of the typical Cape Cod theme one often finds of nautical/ocean/seashore "artwork." The kitchen, though small and challenging to navigate by more than one person, is stocked with all the appliances and tools of the trade one can hope for. We particularly appreciated the sheer quantity of wine glasses. The kayaks were a big hit, and we recommend getting two more wheel units. We loved the place.

We loved our stay at the home, located just steps away from the beach on the West End of Provincetown. It's truly a special place. The owners are in the midst of updating the home, but have done a great job in outfitting the home with all the necessary comforts. We especially loved the two huge outdoor decks, and the grill. We would love to stay again at this home.
